Privacy Policy

Gadgetron Repair ("we," "us," "our") operates gadgetronrepair.com. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our website and repair services.

Information We Collect

We collect personal information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and device information when you book a repair, request a quote, submit a trade-in, or purchase a product or ticket. We also collect payment information, which is processed through secure, PCI-compliant payment gateways and is not stored on our servers.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to process repair orders, schedule appointments, send repair status updates, deliver SMS and email notifications about your service, process payments, issue tickets and reservations, and respond to customer support requests. We may also use your contact information to send service-related follow-ups, warranty reminders, and review requests.

SMS and Email Communications

By providing your phone number and email address, you consent to receive transactional and service-related SMS messages and emails regarding your repair, appointment, ticket, or reservation. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message.

Data Privacy and No-Snooping Policy

Our technicians are strictly prohibited from accessing personal files, photos, messages, or applications unless explicitly required for the repair (e.g., testing the camera app after a camera replacement). We do not ask for your device passcode unless necessary for diagnostic testing. You are encouraged to back up and wipe your device before mail-in or drop-off if you have strict privacy concerns.

Data Recovery and Storage

During data recovery services, your recovered files are stored on isolated, encrypted, offline drives. Once your data is successfully transferred to your provided medium and you confirm receipt, our local copies are securely wiped using military-grade (DoD 5220.22-M) data destruction protocols within 7 days.

Trade-In Data Destruction

All devices sold or traded in to Gadgetron Repair undergo an immediate factory reset. If a device is dead or cannot be powered on to be reset, the logic board's NAND storage chips are physically destroyed or securely wiped during the refurbishment process before the device is resold or recycled.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your contact information with third-party marketers. We may share information with trusted service providers who assist us in operating our business (such as payment processors, calendar and booking platforms, and SMS/email delivery providers), all of whom are bound by confidentiality obligations.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at support@gadgetronrepair.com or (866) 652-0974.

Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.

Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of gadgetronrepair.com and the repair services provided by Gadgetron Repair. By submitting a device for repair, purchasing a ticket, or making a reservation, you agree to these terms.

1. Diagnostic Fees and Process

All devices submitted to Gadgetron Repair are subject to a non-refundable diagnostic fee. This fee covers the time and expertise required by our L3 Certified Technicians to assess logic board damage, micro-soldering requirements, and component-level failures. If you proceed with the repair, this fee is applied toward your final balance.

2. Repair Authorization

By submitting your device and agreeing to these terms, you authorize Gadgetron Repair to perform necessary diagnostics and repairs. You acknowledge that some micro-soldering and logic board repairs carry inherent risks and may result in data loss or further device degradation in rare cases.

3. Data Privacy and Loss

While we take every precaution to protect your data, Gadgetron Repair is not responsible for any data loss that occurs during the repair process. We strongly advise all customers to back up their devices before shipping or dropping them off.

4. Warranty

We stand behind our L3 Certified repairs. All micro-soldering and logic board repairs come with a 90-day limited warranty covering the specific components repaired or replaced. This warranty is voided if the device suffers subsequent physical damage, liquid damage, or if it is opened by another technician.

5. Shipping and Liability

For mail-in repairs, the customer is responsible for securely packaging the device. Gadgetron Repair is not liable for damage incurred during transit. Return shipping is handled via insured carriers, and tracking information is provided upon dispatch.

6. Tickets and Reservations

Repair services and products are sold as bookable tickets. Paid tickets reserve a calendar appointment and the listed service. Free RSVP reservations hold a logistics slot (drop-off or pickup) without charge. Diagnostic ticket fees are credited toward the final repair cost. Tickets are non-transferable except with prior authorization.

7. Payment

Payments are processed through secure, PCI-compliant gateways. Prices are listed in USD. We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel orders at our discretion, with full refund for any unrendered service.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

Appointments may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice. Diagnostic fees are non-refundable once the diagnostic has been performed. Repair work already completed is non-refundable.

9. SMS and Email Consent

By providing your contact information, you consent to receive service-related SMS and email communications, including appointment confirmations, status updates, and review requests. You may opt out at any time.

10. Limitation of Liability

Gadgetron Repair's total liability for any claim arising from repair services is limited to the amount paid for the specific service. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
